Year two in Wisconsin for our Managers Meeting.

Last year we were still brand new to the company, taking it all in and meeting everyone for the first time. It’s crazy what a difference a year makes and how strong those relationships can get in such a short amount of time.

The people here at Waterstone have this exceptional way of making your voice heard, making you feel like family, and truly including you in whatever they’re building every day. Neither of us have ever been able to say that about a company before.

We could go on and on about everything we learned this week and the takeaways we’re bringing home. The knowledge was incredible and so valuable for how we run our business, but honestly, what means the most is the culture. It speaks volumes that we have genuinely GOOD people in our corner who want to work together, cheer each other on, and help every person in the room be their best.

We could do mortgages anywhere. What we can’t get anywhere else is the genuine heart and morale that makes us WANT to do what we do for all the RIGHT reasons. 💙

A little perspective on mortgage rates 👀

Looking back at the last five years, rates have typically dropped about 1% within 3–12 months after reaching a peak. That doesn’t mean we can predict exactly what they’ll do next, but it’s a good reminder that rates are always moving.

The goal isn’t necessarily to wait for the “perfect” rate. It’s to have a plan that makes sense for you now and gives you options later.

Lots has been happening around here, and we’re officially a team of 4! We brought on Kati at the end of May, and she has been absolutely kicking ass and taking names. Today also marks 1 year since our ride-or-die processor, Melisa, made the move over to Waterstone to join us after our company transition. Plus, we officially have a brand new office space up and running!
Looking back, the way things have panned out is so much better than we ever could have dreamed. In the midst of all the changes, there were definitely days we didn’t know how it would all fall into place. But today, we stand so strong and certain in the team (and second family) we’ve created.
We are beyond grateful, ridiculously excited, and just truly love what we have going. We can’t wait to keep this momentum rolling! 🤍✨

Better late than never to celebrate the absolute heart and soul of our team! Yesterday was Dawn’s birthday, and to know her is to love her. Not only is she an incredible partner, but she’s the one who taught me everything I know about this industry and what it means to truly show up for our clients.
