Medicare paperwork can feel overwhelming. Before the Annual Enrollment Period ends on December 7th, we suggest starting with three items. Here's what each one can tell you:

▪️Annual Notice of Change (ANOC), which outlines changes to your plan's premiums, costs, and benefits for the coming year
▪️Evidence of Coverage (EOC), which explains your plan's coverage rules and how your benefits work
▪️Prescription drug information, which shows how your medications are covered and whether their cost or formulary status is changing

It can help to keep these documents next to your current medication list, along with any questions you'd like to ask. The Bailey Insurance Services team is happy to go through them with you.

Shorter days can mean more deer activity on Montana roadways, especially around dawn and dusk. For drivers in Kalispell and throughout Flathead County, that makes staying alert even more important.

If a deer suddenly enters your path, slow down if it is safe to do so, keep both hands on the wheel, and avoid swerving into oncoming traffic or off the road. If a collision occurs, move to a safe location, contact the appropriate authorities, and document the damage when you can.

Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15 through December 7, giving Medicare beneficiaries an opportunity to review their coverage and make changes for 2027.

During AEP, you may be able to:
✅ Move from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage plan, or switch back to Original Medicare
✅ Change from one Medicare Advantage plan to another
✅ Add, change, or drop Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage

Even if your current coverage has worked well, it is important to take a fresh look each year. Plan costs, prescription drug formularies, provider networks, pharmacy options, and benefits can all change.

Have questions about your 2027 Medicare coverage? Bring them to a free seminar hosted by Bailey Insurance Services at the Hampton Inn in Kalispell. Sessions are held on select dates through Wednesday, October 14th.

These seminars are for people whose Blue Cross Blue Shield or UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plan won't be available in Montana for 2027. Family members who are helping a loved one sort through their options are welcome to come too!

If your Medicare Advantage plan is changing for 2027, there's no need to panic, but you shouldn't set that notice aside either. Some Blue Cross Blue Shield and UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans won't be available in Montana next year, and many people in our area are getting letters about it.

A plan ending doesn't mean your Medicare eligibility is ending. It means you'll likely need to review your coverage options and make a new choice for 2027, ideally during the Annual Enrollment Period from October 15th to December 7th.

Happy 250th Birthday America! Happy 4th of July from all of us here at Bailey Insurance Services.
