As we head into ATV season, here’s an important update for Pennsylvania riders.

As of October 15, 2025, ATVs are required to be registered and titled in most cases before you ride.

If you’re riding anywhere other than your own property, you’re also required to carry liability insurance and have proof of it with you.

Since this is a newer law, a lot of people may not even realize these requirements are in place yet.

Before you hit the trails this season, it’s worth making sure everything is set up properly to avoid fines—or worse, being without coverage if something happens.
