Congratulations to Austin Svatos on being named one of the Corridor Business Journal's 40 Under 40!
Last night, with colleagues, family and friends, we celebrated him and were reminded of how incredibly deserving he is of this recognition.
Austin started with United Iowa Financial right out of school in an operations role, learning the business from the ground up. His approach hasn't changed since then: "Take care of the client, and the rest will take care of itself."
That same heart shows up in our community. Austin serves as Iowa City Board Chair for the Boys & Girls Club of The Corridor and has been a Big Brother to the same Little for nearly ten years through Big Brothers Big Sisters. In his words, "our youth are everything."
And a fun fact we learned along the way: he has a 1,426-day Duolingo streak. Consistency is clearly his thing.
His goal by 50? To take care of his family and community, show up for his people, and "plant some trees that I won't sit in the shade of." Austin, you're already doing it. We're so proud of you!
