One of the best parts of being a parent is seeing what matters to your children.

My son loves the American flag, he points it out everywhere we see one.. It's not about politics—it's about pride, belonging, and being part of something bigger than ourselves.

With the World Cup starting today and bringing nations together, America’s 250th anniversary approaching, and so much happening around the globe, it’s a good reminder that unity often starts close to home: with family, community, and shared values.

Those are the same principles that guide strong relationships, strong communities, and strong futures.

We can’t always control the pitch life throws at us — and one way or another, it’s coming.

Adversity. Pressure. Setbacks. Challenges.

What we can control is the mindset, preparation, and confidence we bring to the plate.

On Monday, I had the opportunity to spend time at the Utah General Office connecting with other “New Org” agents—and it was a powerful reminder of something we don’t talk about enough:

Giving back isn’t just about our communities. It’s also about lifting up the people walking a similar path.

Sharing the work I’ve been doing with the Grief-Sensitive Schools Initiative wasn’t about recognition—it was about perspective. If something I’ve learned, built, or experienced can help someone else make a greater impact, then it’s worth sharing every time.

We’re all in different chapters, but when we collaborate, mentor, and open up about what’s working (and what’s not), we all move forward faster—and stronger.

Proud to be part of a profession where we don’t just serve others, but support each other in doing it better.

One of the best things to see as a parent is your kid choosing to step into opportunities to serve others.

Last night, one of my daughters went to TopSoccer training with me and ended up volunteering to become a “buddy” herself. She doesn’t play soccer but was really impacted listening to our club staff talk about the impact of such a great program that helps give kids with special needs a safe and comfortable place to learn and play the sport.

Grateful for opportunities like this that help shape perspective, empathy, and leadership. ❤️⚽
