"Why would I put $200 into an IUL instead of investing it?"

Great question.

The answer isn't that an IUL is better than investing. It serves a different purpose.

When you invest, your money is exposed to market losses. When you use an Indexed Universal Life (IUL) policy, your principal is protected from market downturns. Your cash value can earn interest based on market performance, but it isn't reduced when the market drops.

An IUL can also provide:
• Tax-advantaged cash value growth
• A death benefit for your loved ones
• Access to living benefits for many covered critical, chronic, or terminal illnesses (depending on the policy)
