Vocal was founded in the fall of 1954 by a group of 8 teachers who gathered and applied for a charter to start a credit union. The goal was to provide a trust worthy member owned business that gives a variety of competitive, stable and personable financial services. In 1982, membership was expanded to school employees and their families within the 3 counties of Lewis & Clark, Jefferson and Broadwa

ter. In 2000, the charter was gain modified to include residents of all counties. Today, membership includes anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in the 3 counties.

As we begin renovations, please plan ahead. Our branch will be closed on Saturdays from May 23 through July 4.

⏰ Our Helena main office expansion + renovation is coming up soon, and we want to make sure you’re in the loop.

Just a reminder, Vocal Credit Union will begin a major renovation of the Helena Branch starting Tuesday, May 26, 2026. During this phase:

• The drive-up will be closed May 23 to July 6
• We will not be open on Saturdays from May 23 to July 4
• Temporary hours will be Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

We’re aiming to have the project completed by October. Thanks for your patience and support while we make improvements for our members. We’ll continue sharing updates along the way!
