How does a financial strategy help me?
Like so many things in life, finances are something that can absolutely be self managed. You can also churn your own butter, mend your own clothes, research your own medications and so on and so forth. Most of us don't have that kind of spare time to dig as deep as we would like in all areas of our lives, so we rely on others for this.
As a local wholistic financial advisory firm, we help you by identifying blind spots you might have, educating you on financial terms and best practices, and then helping you identify your financial priorities and goals and stay accountable to the steps you need to take for reaching them. We don't just hold an account and say goodbye, we bring you in regularly, review the goals and talk about portions of your financial affairs other advisors choose not to discuss. We want to know about the home improvement projects, we want to help you navigate a job offer, and talk about best use of available cash even if that's not bringing it into an account with us.
We are also required to be fiduciaries, which if you ask anyone, is helpful. What does that mean? It means we are required by law to put your needs above our own. So if one option has better commission or compensation for us, we have to have a reason why it is better for you first. Your needs and goals come before our revenue considerations, always.
And honestly, if we don't have a full financial strategy for you, we have no way of putting your needs first in investment strategy, because we don't understand your full picture.
