Today, we bid a heartfelt aloha to Drezleen, affectionately known to us as "Drez," as she begins her well-deserved retirement.
Drez joined our credit union in 2008 as Director of Branch Operations, bringing with her decades of experience in financial services, including leadership over 39 branches during her time at Central Pacific Bank. In 2014, she stepped into the role of Senior Vice President of Operations, a position later retitled as Chief Operating Officer.
Over the years, Drez has helped shape so much of the member and employee experience we know today. She introduced the concept of service excellence, championed meaningful improvements across our organization, and played a key role in bringing new ideas to life, including the concept behind our Kahala Branch.
But beyond her title and accomplishments, Drez will be remembered for the way she led. Classy, caring, professional, supportive, and deeply personable, she made time for people, stood by her teams, and never shied away from connecting directly with members. To many, she is a true embodiment of our core values and a shining example of servant leadership.
From baking for her teams to supporting our bake sale fundraisers, Drez brought care and thoughtfulness into everything she did. Her impact will continue to be felt throughout our credit union for years to come.
