The Personal Banker is a versatile employee that assists customers with all aspects of account opening and servicing, assist as needed in teller operations and imaging, internet banking, and other duties as necessary to reach optimum efficiency and service levels.

-High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.

-2 years of banking experience is required.

-Assist with cash controls through bot the ATM, Cash recycler or dispenser, and other teller functions as necessary for operational efficiency.

-Accept and process applications for new business and consumer deposit accounts and assist customers with all servicing aspects of maintaining their deposit accounts.

-Assume full responsibility for proper documentation, compliance with established policies and procedures and timely clearing of documentation errors.

-May accept consumer loan applications and process within established guidelines as deemed necessary by branch demand when directed by Senior Administrative Officer.

-Be able to complete tasks efficiently and accurately while working in a fast-paced environment with frequent disruptions; must have demonstrated ability to analyze data and possess critical thinking skills sufficient to support decisions, defend judgments, address questions and resolve issues as they arise; must have the ability to work independently while managing time and
workload appropriately; must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; accept and process transactions for deposit, withdrawal and other paying/receiving functions of a teller as
necessary.

-Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.

-Occasional travel between the Gulf Shores, Fairhope and Daphne locations as needed

Merchants & Marine Bank Announces New Branch Location

July 8, 2019
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Pascagoula, Mississippi: Merchants & Marine Bank (“M&M Bank”) (OTC QX: “MNMB"), proudly announces the opening of a new branch office on July 8th to replace our existing Gautier Branch. Conveniently located at 1200 Hwy 90, Gautier MS 39553, this branch is replacing the existing branch located at 2235 US-90, Gautier, MS 39553.

As the first bank in the city, M&M Bank is proud to have continuously served the Gautier community since 1971. The new building is a nod to our New Orleans inspired main office in Pascagoula, and will bring new life to this part of Gautier. M&M Bank will also have a meeting room available for use by local community, civic, religious and charitable groups free of charge.

Clayton Legear, President & Chief Executive Officer, stated, “We are very proud to make this investment back into a city that has been an integral part of our Bank for the past 5 decades. M&M Bank has remained steadfast in our commitment to serving the Gautier community.”

This new building will have some new technology and features, however, we will have the same knowledgeable, friendly, and local staff that we’ve always had. Recently, Kimberly Berger Johnson, one of our HR team members led the charge on raising money for the D’Iberville Autism Center. The money raised will allow the Center to provide services to children that may not have the means.

M&M Bank employs a collection of community builders. Our role is to bless the projects they bring to us and help cheer them on their way.

The Mississippi Center for Autism & Related Developmental Disabilities has been open to the public since 2011, providing services to parents and children at their D'Iberville facility and in area schools.

Legear is actively involved in numerous civic, charitable and professional organizations throughout the Coast and the State of Mississippi. He currently serves as Chairman-Elect for the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, Vice President / Finance for the United Way of Jackson & George County, as a director of the Gulf Coast Business Council and a member of the Executive Leadership Team for the Jackson County Heart Walk. He is also actively involved in the Pascagoula Rotary Club and the Mississippi Bankers Association. He was recently recognized as one of the Top 10 Leaders Under 40 by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce. Legear resides in the Hurley area in North Jackson County with his wife, Megan, and their three sons.
