For those impacted by the recent storms and a good reminder for all even if you weren't in an area effected this time. Be very wary of out of market/area/state contractors who come knocking on your door to provide estimates/inspect damage. Do not feel pressured to sign contracts immediately or make deposits on the spot. These high pressure tactics are a sign things are not on the up and up. Please tell them to move on and that you're not intrested. We highly encourage you to pick local, reputable contractors that you or your friends and family know or recommend. Work with people who are going to around for years after this storm to stand behind their work.

If you were impacted by today's storms please document your damage, take lots of photos and from there do what is needed to protect your property from further damage. When you notify us at the agency we can assist you with putting your insurance carrier on notice of the loss. Some auto carriers prefer you to direct report your damage as it allows you to give your statement of the loss on the first call at a time that is convenient for you and eliminates a delay in getting your claim handled. If you're unsure on if you want to file, please reach out to agency staff for assistance.
