🎉 Join us in congratulating Erica Nolte on her promotion to Insurance Producer! Erica began her career with GNB as an Insurance/Real Estate Customer Service Representative in June of 2024. She has many years of prior experience in the insurance field having previously worked at State Farm. Erica also serves as the City Clerk for Geneva and Hansell as well as CIRSI (Central Iowa Residential Services, Inc.) on an as needed basis.

Giving Back Through Teamwork! ⚽🏀

Last month, GNB Grundy Center employees collected sporting equipment and outdoor toys to donate to the Family YMCA of Grundy County YMCA and Grundy Community Preschool & Childcare Center.

Thanks to the generosity of our staff, these items will help provide opportunities for children in our communities to stay active, have fun, and develop valuable skills through play. We are proud of our team's commitment to supporting local youth and making a positive impact in the communities we serve.

🎉Congratulations to Randy Winters on his upcoming retirement!

Randy has been with GNB since 2012 as an Insurance Producer and has built strong relationships with customers and community members. In retirement, Randy is looking forward to spending time with his wife of 48 years along with his 13 grandchildren and getting back on the golf course. He’ll truly miss the people he’s served over the years. Thank you, Randy, for your dedication to GNB—we wish you all the best!

HOPE Week: Raising Awareness & Coming Together

Last week, GNB Manchester employees proudly came together and implemented HOPE Week, an initiative focused on raising awareness for cancers that have impacted so many in our lives—our families, friends, coworkers, and communities. This effort was especially meaningful as we stand alongside the Hermsen family in their “Battle Better” journey.

Throughout the week, we showed our support by wearing awareness colors and spotlighting:

It was inspiring to see everyone participate, start conversations, be educated and stand united in support of those affected by cancer.

A special highlight of the week was our Yard, Bake & Plant Sale, where our team went above and beyond—donating items, baking treats, contributing plants, and volunteering their time. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to raise $600 for Delaware County’s upcoming Relay for Life to be held on June 12th in downtown Manchester.

🎓 We enjoyed celebrating the Grundy Center High School graduating Class of 2026 at our annual Senior Breakfast yesterday morning!

A special thank you to our guest speaker, Dr. Kelsee (Huisman) Hove, 2005 GCHS graduate and Director of Clinical Education for the Occupational Therapy Department at Des Moines University, for sharing her story, advice, and encouragement with this year’s graduates. We want to share her parting words to the Class of 2026.

"Wherever life takes you, never forget where you came from. This community helped shape you. These people helped raise you. These experiences built part of your foundation. Home becomes something you carry with you.

And years from now, you may realize what I eventually realized — that the people, lessons, and support systems you grew up around were preparing you for more than you understood at the time.

So, as you leave here today:
Be where your feet are. Don’t fear uncertainty. Protect your values. Choose curiosity over judgment. And stay grateful for the place that helped make you who you are. The goal isn’t to have life completely figured out.
The goal is to keep becoming.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. And thank you for letting me come home today."
