🤝 Business Networking Group — #1 Recap

We had a great conversation this morning with our Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Business Networking Group about making networking feel more approachable and authentic.

We discussed:

• Why networking can feel uncomfortable—from small talk and struggling to find common ground to imposter syndrome
• How genuine curiosity helps us focus on getting to know others instead of making the conversation about ourselves
• What makes someone memorable in business: being personable, finding common ground and, most importantly, being authentic
• The importance of actively listening to understand—not simply waiting for our turn to speak

Our biggest takeaway: The best networking feels like relationship-building, not pitching.

Our group meets every other Thursday at 9:00 AM in the conference room at 2022 Central Avenue. We look forward to seeing everyone again on October 1st!
