Advisor Spotlight: Braedan Hanson

💡 What got you into becoming a financial advisor?
Meeting JJ on the golf course and asking if this is something I wanted to do. After a couple meetings learning about Northwestern Mutual’s advisor contract, it was something I couldn’t pass up. I am extremely lucky to have met him—one interaction that not only changed my life, but also every client we now get to take care of!
🤝 What’s the most rewarding part of helping clients?
Having them confide in us things they don’t tell other people. Being trusted with someone’s financial decisions carries a lot of weight, and it’s something I don’t take lightly. I’m very thankful for the trust clients place in my team.
📈 What’s one piece of financial advice you think everyone should know?
Most people assume they need to invest a ton of money right away, and that’s not the case. We work with a lot of young families across the country, and we’re now in 23 different states in just 3 years.
⭐ What do you think makes your approach different?
We specialize in the nursing market, and I always say, “Something is better than nothing early on in your career.”
🏡 What do you like to do outside of work?
I love spending time with my wife and two kids. Payton may be the only person on this planet more competitive than I am! When I’m not working, it depends on the season—fall is for chasing whitetail deer with close friends and family. In the summer, you’ll find me at a local golf course topping drives or three-putting and having a great time with friends.

About: Caleb enjoys spending time with friends and family, hunting, fishing, working out, and completing home remodel projects.
Previous Experience: He worked for the Grand Forks Police Department as a Police Officer for 2.5 years and served in the North Dakota Army National Guard as an Air Defense Battle Management Systems Operator for 6 years.
Hometown: Thompson, ND
Education: Associates of Science in Business from Northland Community & Technical College.
Family Life: Caleb and his girlfriend, Emily, have 2 dogs, Nova and Koa, and two cats, Annie and Nacho.

Caleb is excited about helping clients and their families achieve their financial goals while protecting what they’ve already accomplished by building trust and ensuring they feel heard, supported, and confident in their financial future.

Previous Experience: He worked at Slumberland Furniture for 2 years and spent 6 years at Norby’s Work Perks. He has been at Northwestern Mutual for 6 months!
Hometown: Redwood Falls, Minnesota
Education: University of North Dakota
Family Life: Adam is married to his wife, Mani, and has a 4-year-old daughter.

Adam is looking forward to helping people feel confident about their financial future instead of guessing. “A lot of families are saving and investing but don’t have a clear strategy,” he says. “I help connect all the pieces so everything works together.”

This Saturday is the UND vs NDSU game!💚 We are teaming up with Alex’s Lemonade Stand and Kaden Vig from UND Football to raise awareness for the fight against pediatric cancer. Join us at the tailgate event before we take on NDSU. There will be drinks, food, and games - with free will donations. We hope to see you there helping us cheer on the hawks & raising awareness for the fight against childhood cancer!🍋🍋
