I'm a bit late posting this, but this past weekend my daughter, Elena, and I enjoyed spending time together at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Happy Rock Park. It was a great opportunity to come together with other Edward Jones associates, as well as our community, to raise awareness and support the ongoing fight against Alzheimer’s disease.

I’m proud that Edward Jones is a national sponsor of the Alzheimer’s Association and its mission to advance research, provide support for families, and work toward a world without Alzheimer’s and other dementia.

These moments with my duaghter are a reminder that it’s important to lead by example, teach our kids the value of giving back, and invest our time in the things that truly matter. It's also personal, as this disease and other dimentias have impacted my friends, my family, as well as my wife's family.

You probably know someone, as well, or have lost someone to it.

For those that don't know, there are colored flowers carried at the Walks. Purple means you have lost someone. Orange means you know someone going through it. Yellow means you are caring for someone who has it. Blue means you are going through it, yourself.

I look forward to the day someone gets to carry the "White Flower"... That person will be the first person that has survived Alzheimer's.

I enjoyed reading this recent Kiplinger article featuring our Head of Wealth Management and Field Management, David Chubak. One point that stood out to me is how many families are balancing long-term goals with desire to support loved ones today.

It’s something that often comes up in conversations with clients, whether it’s helping adult children with housing expenses, student debt or other financial challenges. As David notes, "The reality is we live in an age of financial uncertainty and anxiety like no other." Having open conversations and a thoughtful plan can help families navigate those decisions with greater confidence.
