GenoaBank is pleased to announce the promotion of Erick Scharer to SVP, Chief Financial Officer.

Scharer is a graduate of Northwood High School and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Toledo, followed by a Master’s Degree in Finance from Tiffin University.

In his new role, Erick Scharer will oversee all financial operations of the bank, including financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, and long-term financial strategy. His leadership will play a critical role in supporting GenoaBank’s continued growth, operational strength, and commitment to delivering value to customers and shareholders. Scharer has been a dedicated member of the GenoaBank team for several years, most recently serving as Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Facilities Manager. He has demonstrated strong financial expertise, disciplined decision-making, and a deep understanding of the organization’s strategic priorities.
