Let's look at some interesting tidbits.👍

🛩Many believe the use of paper airplanes originated 2,000 years ago in China.

🛩The earliest known date of the creation of modern paper planes was said to have been 1909.

🛩The largest paper aircraft had a wingspan of 59.74 ft. Students and employees from Germany created it on 28th September 2013.

🛩Joe Ayoob recorded the longest distance flown by a paper airplane in February 2012. His plane flew 226 feet, 10 inches.

🛩The longest-lasting paper airplane flight flew 29.2 seconds.

Today's random-but-kinda-big fact:
The financial industry is apparently headed toward what they're calling a "Silver Tsunami." 🌊👴👵

No...not a retirement community water park ride.

A large number of financial professionals are nearing retirement over the next decade.

Which means a lot of experience and knowledge will be heading toward sunsets, golf courses, grandkids, and probably early bird dinner specials. 😆

Meanwhile, people are still asking:
💸 "Can I retire someday?"
💸 "How do I get out of debt?"
💸 "Why does my paycheck disappear like cookies at a family reunion?"
💸 "How do I stop stressing about money all the time?"

Funny thing is... people aren't going to suddenly need less help with money.

They're going to need more.

So here's your Find Out Friday thought for the day:

What if the thing you've thought about trying... is exactly the thing you should explore?

You know how when you're learning something new, you mess it up a couple times? Or when you only do something once in a while, so you don't exactly get a lot of practice? 🤔😬

Yeah… so no pressure when I was the one running the voting at the Impact Club meeting with close to 200 people getting ready to vote.

You know... making sure the voting was actually turned ON ✅ and then OFF ❌ when we were done. Tiny details. 😂

Turns out there were more steps than I remembered from the other times I've done this. I think I've only handled it twice before... and the last time was at least a year ago.

Needless to say, there was a little hiccup in the process (translation: SAS missed a couple steps 🤦‍♀️🤣).

But here's the thing... I didn't melt down. I didn't break. Yeah, my pride took a tiny dent 💥😂, but the job still got done and a local non-profit walked away with a little over $38,000! 💙🎉🙌

Tip for today: Don't quit. Problem solve and keep moving. Better to suck at something while learning than to skip it completely.

You'll usually pick up something valuable along the way too. ✨

✨ Tonight is Impact Club night! ✨

We’ll hear from 3 amazing local non-profits: Team Hope, Platoon 22, and Helping Hands Caring Hearts. ❤️🙌

After the speakers, we’ll cast our votes, and one of them will receive the majority of this quarter’s donations — around $37,000! 💰🎉

For a local non-profit, that kind of support can truly make a BIG impact in the community. 🌎💙

I always enjoy these events. There’s something about being in a room full of people focused on helping others that brings such positive energy and all the feel-good vibes. 😊✨

It's weird to think I was just in Florida a few days ago. 😄 I got the official report from my sister that they finally got internet and cable on Thursday… in case anyone was sitting on the edge of their seat wondering. 📶📺😂

Over the weekend, I got to attend a Leadership Summit, spend time with one of my BFFs 💕, and squeeze in some time with my sweetie too. Since we were both working on our actual anniversary, we celebrated yesterday with a little jaunt and some time at a local winery. 🍷❤️

At the Leadership Summit, I was reminded of something important...

While building my financial business is great for my husband and me, this journey isn't really about us. It's about helping other people change their financial future.

Our keynote speaker shared how meeting just one person completely changed her and her husband's lives — and even saved their marriage. A true answer to a desperate prayer. 💙

Sometimes we don't realize that one conversation... one decision... or one person can completely change the direction of our lives.

FIND OUT FRIDAY 💻📡
Did you know your internet can technically be “working”…while also making you question every life choice you’ve ever made?

Apparently there’s a difference between:

*internet speed
*bandwidth
*mesh systems
*routers
*extenders
*fiber
*and whatever dark magic happens in 55+ HOA communities where cable/internet is included in the HOA fees. 😮

Now that I'm back home in Maryland, I wanted to share that this past week I learned some communities have internet systems complicated enough to qualify for NASA mission control…yet somehow still buffer during cat videos.

Meanwhile, everyone over age 60 is just trying to:
✔ pay bills
✔ text grandchildren
✔ watch Facebook reels
✔ and stream true crime documentaries peacefully.

Thank Gawd for unlimited phone data. 🙌

You know when you move, and suddenly you have 7,492 tiny design decisions to make? 🤪🏡

Where to put the furniture.
What goes on the display shelves.
Where the "kat fude" and water station should live. 🐈🥣

And at first, you put things where you think they belong. Then after a few days, you realize…yeahhhh…that ain’t it. 😅

So you rearrange.
And live with that for a bit.

Very much real life over here after helping Aunt Nita and Uncle Mark get settled into their new Florida home. 🌴📦

The china cabinet and this metal shelf were originally on certain walls, and after a few days of everybody living with it, all parties finally agreed:
“It’s time to swap them.” 😂

And honestly? Isn’t budgeting kind of the same way? 💸

You sit down, make this beautiful monthly budget on paper, and then a month later you’re looking at it like:
“Well…that was adorable.” 🤦‍♀️

So you adjust.
You move things around.
You figure out what actually fits your life.

Because a budget is kind of a living, breathing entity. One that just happens to govern your entire household. So, ya know…no pressure. 😬🏠💰

I’m fully in “getting things just right” mode after this trip, so if you’ve been wanting another pair of eyes on your budget and finances, give me a hollah. ☕👀
