When a seller is motivated, they're often open to more than just a price reduction. They may negotiate on closing costs. They may consider funding a rate buydown, which could lower your interest rate for the first one to three years of your loan. They may work with you on your timeline.

Happy 8th Birthday to our middle child, Michael!

There is no one quite like him. He was named after my dad, and certainly has the same Spark his Papa had. He is lucky enough to almost always have his birthday on Labor Day Weekend!!

If you are new to my page, I am glad you're here!

My name is Ellen Cassidy and I am a Mortgage Loan Officer in the NC/SC area. I have been with Movement for 12 years and am so thankful to do what I do.

I have been married for almost 13 years to the handsome man pictured, and we have three wonderful children! My husband and I work as a team baking a LOT of sourdough!! 🥖

I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but I've been in the Charlotte area for over 30 years.

As a family, we love the mountains, playing and watching baseball, Cleveland Sports Teams, and going to our neighborhood pool.

National housing headlines don't always tell the whole story.

According to Zillow Research, starter-home inventory increased 4.5% year over year in June, while luxury-home inventory declined 5.2%.*

That could mean more options for some buyers searching at lower price points. Zillow also found that price cuts were more common among starter homes, with 25% of listings receiving a price cut in June. Market conditions can vary significantly by location, so what's happening nationally may look very different in your area.
