More than a race. A community showing up for a cause that matters. ❤️

Proud to have Morgan Stanley support the 7th Annual Gilda’s Race for Hope and grateful to see colleagues, family, friends and members of our South Florida community come together for an organization that means so much to me.

Serving on the Board of Directors of Gilda's Club South Florida has given me the opportunity to see firsthand the impact this organization has on individuals and families navigating cancer. Having lost my father to cancer 25 years ago, the mission is also deeply personal to me.

Every dollar raised helps support programs and services for individuals and families right here in South Florida impacted by cancer — and that’s what makes this event about so much more than a finish line.

I was especially proud to have Thomas alongside me for the 5K. He pushed through the entire race, and we crossed the finish line together in about 34 minutes — a father-son moment I’ll remember for a long time.

Thank you to every runner, walker, volunteer, donor and sponsor who helped make this year’s Race for Hope such a success — and to Brian and Tilson for joining me in representing Morgan Stanley.

I’m also incredibly proud that Team Morgan Stanley finished as the second-highest fundraising team for this year’s Race for Hope. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us make an impact.

Race for Hope is about community, compassion and showing up for one another. Grateful for the opportunity to serve, give back and be part of it.

3.1 miles alongside Thomas, surrounded by friends, Morgan Stanley colleagues and a South Florida community showing up for Gilda’s Club South Florida.

He pushed through the entire 5K, and about 34 minutes later, we crossed the finish line together.

But what I’ll remember most isn’t the time or the finish line.

I’ll remember Thomas refusing to quit. I’ll remember crossing that finish line together. And I’ll remember seeing an entire community come together to support individuals and families right here in South Florida impacted by cancer.

Some milestones mean more because of what it took to earn them. 🥋

On National Son’s Day, Thomas earned his first stripe on his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu white belt.

His coach summed up the journey perfectly:

“We’re all here to get better. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.”

What meant the most was hearing him recognize Thomas for what he consistently brings to the mats — a great attitude.

He talked about how much stronger Thomas has become, how much better he understands the techniques, and said he possibly has the best attitude in the class.

That’s a lesson that reaches far beyond jiu-jitsu.

Some days everything clicks. Some days it doesn’t. Progress isn’t always linear.

But you can control your attitude, your effort, and your willingness to keep showing up and getting better.

The stripe represents his progress.

The words behind it are what made Dad the proudest.

Celebrating National Son’s Day with a milestone that made this dad especially proud. 🥋

Today, my son Thomas earned his first stripe on his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu white belt.

Progress in jiu-jitsu comes a little at a time — another class, another technique, another opportunity to learn and improve.

Today, he got to see some of that hard work recognized.

As someone who has spent many years on the mats myself, getting to watch my son begin his own jiu-jitsu journey has made the sport even more meaningful.

Proud of the stripe. Even prouder of the kid wearing it.
