One home under contract and waiting for an answer on some land. It's been a good week in real estate! Thank you Katie Evans, Loan Officer, Carolina Home Mortgage, CO NMLS 39862 for quickly getting my buyer a better rate, lower payment and lower closing cost! You saved us from a closing day disaster.

As a buyer your loan estimate should be fairly accurate. When my buyer shared his with me from another lender, I noticed a huge discrepancy that the lender wouldn't explain (there were other mistakes as well). It was an intentional low figure to make the payment appear lower than it would actually be. Had I not caught this, the whole transaction would have ended at the closing table when the true payment was revealed. And my buyer? He would have lost not only the home he loved, but his due diligence money, appraisal fee and inspection fees. Katie swooped in and saved the day, in record time!
