A huge THANK YOU to everyone at the New York Life Baltimore General Office who volunteered their time and creativity to help support Camp Erin of West Virginia! 💙

Camp Erin is part of the Eluna Network and our West Virginia camp is being operated by Blue Ridge Care, providing a supportive and meaningful experience for children who are navigating the loss of someone important in their lives.

It was incredible to see agents, staff, and leadership come together and get so engaged in creating the materials needed for camp. The amount of creativity, energy, and genuine enthusiasm everyone brought to the project was amazing.

These materials will help make Camp Erin a welcoming and memorable experience for children who are navigating the loss of someone important in their lives. Knowing how much thought and care went into preparing everything makes them even more meaningful.

I’m incredibly grateful to the entire Baltimore GO team for embracing this project and helping bring the first Camp Erin in West Virginia to life.

Thank you for giving your time, your talents, and most importantly, your hearts to this effort. This is what community involvement looks like! 💙

This Thursday’s Rotary Club of Martinsburg meeting was a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to support children and families who need it most.

We were honored to welcome Tina Thomas and Susanna Callie from Blue Ridge Care, who shared some truly staggering statistics about the number of children in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia who are navigating the loss of a loved one. Behind every statistic is a child and a family learning how to move forward through grief.

Tina and Susanna also shared some incredible news: with support from a New York Life Foundation grant, they are bringing Camp Erin to West Virginia for the very first time! Camp Erin is a bereavement camp designed to give grieving children a safe, supportive environment where they can connect with others who understand what they’re going through, while learning healthy ways to cope with loss.

I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to help support this first-ever West Virginia Camp Erin alongside the Martinsburg Rotary Club, with support from New York Life’s Baltimore and Greater DC General Offices.

This is what community partnership is all about—bringing people and organizations together to make a meaningful difference for children right here in our own backyard.

Thank you, Tina and Susanna, for sharing your mission with us and for the work you are doing for grieving children and families throughout the Panhandle. I’m excited to see Camp Erin make an impact in West Virginia! 💙

So proud to be associated with this event. Lots of ways to engage, find help and provide support! Reach out for more information.

💖 Blue Ridge Care is proud to partner with Eluna to bring Camp Erin® West Virginia to our region for the very first time.

Camp Erin West Virginia is a free day camp for children and teens ages 6-17 who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. Through grief support, connection with peers, and traditional camp activities, campers can explore their grief, build coping skills, and experience moments of joy in a supportive environment.

In a state where approximately 1 in 7 children will experience the death of a parent or sibling before age 18, access to grief support has never been more important.

There's more financial advice out there for young people than ever—and somehow, that's making things harder, not easier. Trends like ""girl math"" and ""no-spend"" months turn budgeting into a game or a punishment, when what most young people actually need is a plan.
I'm sharing an article that gets into why all this noise is landing the way it is—and what actually helps cut through it.
