Here it is....2026 MORTGAGE RATE FORCAST.
A soft rate decline is possible, but dramatic dips (4% to 5%) seem unlikely unless there is a significant economic change. Feel free to share with those sitting on the fence, waiting for rates to drop significantly. We hit 5.9% a couple of weeks ago, which is the low end of the predicted range for all of 2026. I am reminding clients that we were in the 8s a couple of years ago. When you compare, today's 6%-ish range rates are actually excellent historically. Buydowns will continue to be popular, over sellers lower their asking prices. Please let me know if you have any questions
