Story time. 🌹 Sellers, this one’s for you. Buyers too.
About 15 years ago I listed a gorgeous home in the Edgemere area with 47 rose bushes in the front yard. It sold in about an hour.
Then, on the day of closing, the buyer’s agent called: every rose bush had been pulled out of the yard.
I called the seller. Those 47 rose bushes stood for the 47 years he was married to his wife before she passed, and he’d taken them to his new home. 💔
But in Texas, rose bushes are part of the property unless the contract says otherwise.
More items convey with a home than most people expect: light fixtures, ceiling fans, TV mounts, landscaping. Make sure your agent knows exactly what stays and what goes.
Today, when I list a home, I make sure it’s clear that all the shrubbery conveys.
