❤️🖤 POWER OF PERCEPTION (POP) | COHORT DELONG 🖤❤️

BIGGEST TURNOUT YET! 🔥🙌🏾

Tonight, our POP Elementary Chapter, Cohort DeLong, had an incredible evening at Sherman Elementary School! We welcomed our biggest turnout yet for this cohort, and it was amazing to see our mentees and parents/guardians so engaged, involved, and genuinely enjoying their time with POP!

From introducing our POP Elementary Chapter to our LEGO team-building activity, our K–5 mentees had the opportunity to connect, collaborate, get creative, and build new relationships in a fun and welcoming environment. The energy in the room spoke volumes, and the family engagement made tonight even more special!

At POP, we believe in creating spaces where our youth feel supported, families feel welcomed, and meaningful connections can grow. Tonight was another reminder that when we bring our community together, GREAT things happen! ❤️🖤

❤️🖤IT’S POP MENTORING DAY🖤❤️

Today, Thursday, October 29th, we’re bringing the energy, creativity, and teamwork to our POP Elementary Chapter — Cohort DeLong! 💪🏾🧱

Our K–5 students will participate in an introduction to the POP Elementary Chapter and an exciting LEGO Team-Building Activity designed to encourage creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and positive connections!

📍 Location: Sherman Elementary School
3600 Northwoods Ln., Eau Claire, WI
⏰ Time: 5:30–6:30 PM
🎒 Grades: Kindergarten–5th Grade

🏫 Eligible Schools: Putnam Heights Elementary School, Roosevelt Elementary, Lakeshore Elementary, Longfellow Elementary School, and Chippewa Valley Montessori Charter School.

✅ Parents/guardians can drop off their children or stay and participate!
🥨 Snacks, water, and juice will be provided.
📝 Students will complete a pre-survey.
🏆 Prizes will be awarded for Most Creative & Most Locked In!

❤️🖤 ANOTHER PRODUCTIVE NIGHT WITH POP🖤❤️

Tonight, our ECASD District Wide Chapter had another great mentoring session, and our students stayed engaged from start to finish! 💪🏾

From dedicating time to homework and missing assignments to engaging in our POP Pathways program, our mentees continued putting in the work toward their academic success and future goals. 📚🎓

One of the highlights of the evening was watching our middle schoolers get locked in on a puzzle-building activity that challenged their patience, problem-solving, focus, and teamwork! 🧩🔥 The friendly competition between cohorts brought out their creativity while reminding us that learning can be fun!

At POP, we believe success is about more than what happens in the classroom. It’s about building confidence, developing life skills, supporting one another, and preparing our young people for what’s next.😁❤️🖤❤️🖤😁

Today, with our P.O.P. South Middle School Chapter we had TWO productive mentoring sessions focused on “Creating The Vision & Making It Plain!” 🎯💯

Our students got creative, developed their vision boards, and had the opportunity to learn more about what it means to be part of our POP school-based chapter! From setting goals to expressing their vision for the future, we’re continuing to encourage our students to dream BIG, think BIGGER, and put those plans into action! 🔥

🙌🏾 Two sessions. One mission. Countless possibilities!

❤️🖤 SUNDAYS ARE FOR RESETTING, REFOCUSING & GETTING READY FOR THE WEEK AHEAD🖤❤️

Yesterday’s POP ECASD District Wide Chapter mentoring session was exactly that! Sundays are our opportunity to reset, refocus, and get ourselves in position for a successful week, and our mentees came ready to put in the work!

📚 LOCKED IN & GETTING IT DONE! A productive homework session gave our mentees the opportunity to catch up, work through assignments, and get ahead academically. We had a lot of mentees locked in and making great use of their time!

🍝 DINNER WITH POP! Huge shoutout to Olive Garden for catering our dinner spread! Let’s just say it was a HIT! 😋❤️

💰 INTRODUCING P.O.P. BUCKS! A new incentive system designed to encourage engagement, accountability, and participation! Our mentees are already excited about what’s ahead, especially the GRAND PRIZE waiting at the end of the year! 👀🏆

🚩 COHORT FLAGS & BIGGER PLANS! Our cohorts came together to put the finishing touches on their flags, strengthen their teamwork, and talk through the year ahead. We also discussed our first overnight trip of the fall, and attendance and participation will be important for those looking to attend!

At POP, we’re not just building mentors, leaders, and role models. We’re building discipline, accountability, teamwork, and the mindset needed to succeed in the classroom and beyond!

❤️🖤 POP MENTORING IN ACTION🖤❤️

A HUGE SHOUTOUT TO Costco‼️❤️🖤

Tonight, our ECASD District Wide Chapter had an incredible mentoring experience as we were welcomed by the amazing team at Costco in Eau Claire!

A special THANK YOU to the entire Costco team, their General Manager, and our very own POP mentor, Yoshi, for helping make this opportunity possible! We truly appreciate you opening your doors and creating such a memorable learning experience for our mentees. 💯

Our mentees had the opportunity to explore Costco from a whole new perspective! From learning about membership perks and exploring the dairy and meat departments to visiting the food court and seeing the employee break area, our young people gained valuable insight into Costco’s operations, workplace culture, and the many opportunities the company has to offer.

And the excitement didn’t stop there! 🎉 TWO OF OUR MENTEES WERE AWARDED FREE COSTCO EXECUTIVE MEMBERSHIPS after submitting essays for the challenge Costco offered our chapter! Congratulations to both mentees, and thank you to Costco for investing in our young people and rewarding their efforts! 🏆👏🏾

Experiences like these remind us that mentoring goes beyond the classroom. It’s about exposing our youth to new environments, expanding their knowledge, building relationships, and helping them envision possibilities for their future.

At POP, we’re committed to creating opportunities that inspire our mentees to dream bigger, learn more, and recognize their potential!
