What an exciting time to be part of the Big I family! 🏆

Congratulations to **Greg Sandrock** on his induction as Big I National Chair and to the **Big I Illinois Young Agents** on receiving national recognition at the Young Agents Leadership Institute. Illinois is showing up in a big way — and that momentum is heading straight into **Big I Illinois CONVO next week!**

At **Big I of DuPage**, we are excited to keep that momentum moving locally as well.

We are rolling out our new **hOUR POWER Lunch Series**, bringing industry professionals, partners, and thought leaders directly to our members for practical conversations around insurance, technology, operations, growth, and the issues impacting independent agencies today.

And on **November 20**, we’ll gather at **Lynfred Winery** for our upcoming **Pause & Pour** event — an opportunity to step away from the daily grind, connect with one another, enjoy a glass of w**e, and have an important conversation heading into the holiday season.

Governor Gavin Newsom signed AB 1795, authored by Assemblymember Mike Gipson (D-Carson), on September 15, 2026, chaptering it as Chapter 240 of the Statutes of 2026. The law overhauls insurer obligations on smoke damage to homes left contaminated by ash, soot, and combustion byproducts.

Insurers must now prove wildfire smoke didn't cause the damage - and pay for testing
