Biblically Responsible Investing (BRI) is about aligning your investments with your values.

As believers, we are called to be wise stewards of everything God has entrusted to us—including our finances. BRI considers not only potential financial returns, but also the types of businesses and practices our investments may support.

It’s an opportunity to prayerfully ask:
“Do my investments reflect the convictions I live by?”

BRI can help investors seek to avoid companies involved in practices that conflict with biblical values while identifying businesses that promote human flourishing, integrity, and responsible stewardship.

Your portfolio is more than numbers on a statement—it can be part of your testimony.

🎒Back-to-school season brings fresh routines, new schedules, supply lists, activities, and plenty of moving pieces. It can feel exciting—and a little overwhelming.

As we prepare backpacks, calendars, lunches, and budgets, let’s also prepare our hearts in prayer. We may not be able to control every detail of the school year, but we can place our children, teachers, schools, and daily routines in God’s hands.❤

Pray for your child’s safety, friendships, confidence, and growth. Pray for teachers who pour so much into their classrooms. Pray for wisdom as you manage time, expenses, homework, activities, and family responsibilities.

Proverbs 16:9 says, “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”

Planning is wise. Prayer keeps us grounded. Together, they help us enter a new season with peace, purpose, and trust.

Here’s to a school year filled with learning, growth, grace, and God’s faithful direction. 🎉🏫

Your financial goals should do more than build a bank account—they should help support the life and calling God has placed on your heart.

Money is a tool. When we steward it with purpose, it can create margin to give generously, care for our families, serve our communities, pursue meaningful work, and respond when God opens a door.

That is why financial planning should begin with more than, “What do I want to have?” A better question is: “What has God called me to do, and how can my financial decisions support it?”

Maybe your calling includes:
❓Being more available for your family
❓Giving faithfully to ministry or missions
❓Launching a business that serves others
❓Preparing for a career transition
❓Getting out of debt so you can live with greater freedom
❓Leaving a legacy of wisdom and generosity

Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” When we invite God into our goals, financial planning becomes an act of stewardship—not simply a pursuit of more.

Ask yourself today: Do my financial goals reflect the purpose God has placed in my life?

Start where you are. Create a plan. Take one faithful step at a time.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” — 2 Corinthians 1:3–4

Sometimes steady progress isn’t very exciting.

If the economy grows a little each month, it probably isn’t going to dominate your newsfeed. But as Chuck points out in our August Market Update, even half a percent a month adds up to 6% over the course of a year.

That’s why we don’t want to overlook what’s happening simply because the economy isn’t “sprinting.”

The numbers discussed this month include 1.5% real GDP growth in Q2, unemployment at 4.2%, wage growth above 3.5%, and initial jobless claims below 200,000.

Taken together, those numbers help explain why the strength of the economy remains one of the four pillars we’re watching.

Sometimes the more important financial story isn’t dramatic growth. It’s steady compounding.

Planning ahead is not a lack of faith—it can be an expression of wisdom, stewardship, and trust in God.

Proverbs reminds us that wise people consider the future rather than living only for the moment--“The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.” — Proverbs 21:5

Whether we are planning our budget, preparing for a new season, setting family goals, or organizing our time, diligence matters. Planning helps us make room for what God has called us to manage well.

At the same time, Proverbs teaches us to hold our plans with open hands-“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3

We do the practical work—pray, prepare, save, seek wise counsel, and take the next right step. Then we trust God with the outcome.

Today, take a few minutes to ask:
🔺What has God entrusted to me that needs a plan?
🔺Where have I been rushing instead of preparing?
🔺Have I invited the Lord into my decisions?

Faithful planning says, “Lord, I will be diligent with what You have placed in my hands—and I will trust You to guide my steps.”

We know the word “bubble” gets thrown around pretty easily when markets have been performing well.

So how do you actually evaluate whether valuations are getting too high?

One measure discussed in our August Market Update is the forward P/E ratio. Last October, it was around 23×. Based on the 2027 earnings estimate discussed in the video, that number has come down to approximately 19.6× as earnings have caught up.

For some historical perspective, Chuck also explains what happened in periods such as 1929, 1966, and 2000 when valuations moved beyond roughly 25×.

That doesn’t tell us exactly what happens next, but it does give us something more concrete to evaluate than simply saying, “The market feels expensive.”

If you want to hear Chuck, Michael, and Derek walk through the numbers and what they mean for the current outlook, watch the full August Market Update on YouTube.

Money makes a wonderful tool—but a terrible master.

When we view money as our master, it can drive our decisions through fear, comparison, pressure, and the constant pursuit of “more.” But when we place it in its proper role, money becomes a tool we can use with purpose.

A tool can help us:

📌Provide for our families
📌Give generously
📌Plan wisely for the future
📌Support work that matters
📌Serve others and advance God’s Kingdom

Our worth is not found in our income, account balance, home, or possessions. We are called to be faithful stewards of what God has entrusted to us—not controlled by it.

Jesus said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Matthew 6:21

Today, ask yourself: Am I directing my money toward what matters most, or is money directing me?

Stock prices get most of the attention, but one of the numbers we’re watching closely right now is happening behind the scenes: corporate earnings.

In our August Market Update, Chuck explains why earnings growth is such an important part of the long-term investment picture. Companies are making money, and earnings have been growing faster than stock prices. That matters because some of the valuation concerns we were discussing last fall look different when earnings begin catching up.

It’s a good reminder that looking at whether the market is “up” or “down” only tells you part of the story.

Understanding what businesses are actually earning can give us a much better picture of what may be supporting those stock prices.

We get into the numbers, including what’s happened with forward P/E ratios, in the full August Market Update.
