Thank you all so much for your submissions to Here’s Who. The outpouring of generosity from this community has been incredible. We were simply blown away by the stories we heard about the incredible work individuals and organizations are doing in the area.

The final decision was an extraordinarily difficult one to make. Everyone was deserving, but Alpine Bank and our community selection committee judged the entries based on need, impact, emotional appeal, and creativity of the entry.

After careful consideration, the committee selected one awesome organization to receive the $10,000: Equine Partnership Program. EPP is a nonprofit organization that rescues abused and neglected horses and uses them as therapists to help rehabilitate kids who have gone through extreme trauma. Many of the children who EPP has helped were unable to get results through traditional one-on-one therapy. Their success stories are simply incredible. However, after reading your amazing stories, we felt compelled to give away more than just one prize. We also gave away $5,000 to two other organizations. Phamaly Theatre Company, a nonprofit theater group for individuals with disabilities, and Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep, an organization that helps families who lost their children at birth.

Thank you so much. Keep up the good work. As the founder of Alpine Bank once said, “Giving back isn’t good for the bottom line, it is the bottom line.”

Thank you so much for your submissions to Here's Who. The generosity and selflessness we've seen from you all has been incredibly heartwarming. We received more than 200 submissions in total, and we can already tell that we're going to need a couple of boxes of tissues when we read through them. We're excited to be a part of such a loving, caring, giving community. We'll let you know soon who the winner is.
