The higher mortgage rates we are seeing also impacts sellers. And now more than ever, having a good real estate agent that understands your neighborhood/ market is key.

+ Having the right listing price is critical. Buyers now have more time to shop/ compare. Pricing too aggressively could mean extended time on the market and/or a price reduction.
+ Sellers have less leverage in some markets--they may need to be more flexible to correct inspection items, cover buyer closing costs or a rate buy down.

Credit: Determine what your credit score is, and talk with a lending professional on ways you can improve it. Increasing your credit score even by a few points can have a positive impact on the mortgage rate.

Explore various loan options: Meet with a lending professional to learn more about the various loan options. Different products and approaches to your financing may yield better results, and this is information you will NOT get by using an on-line lender.
