Andy is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional who specializes in helping successful professionals who are nearing or in retirement navigate the complexities of funding a lifelong optimal lifestyle and creating an efficient legacy. He is also passionate about helping current or former military professionals and their families; especially as they transition from the military to civilian life through Expiration Term of Service (ETS) or military retirement.

As a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and Director of Advisory Core at L&A, Andy brings a rare combination of discipline, wisdom, and calm confidence to everything he does. But what stands out most isn't his experience, it's his ability to listen.

In a world where everyone is eager to talk, Andy has a gift for slowing down, asking thoughtful questions, and making people feel heard. Whether he's working with clients, mentoring teammates, or helping shape the future of our advisory practice, people leave conversations with Andy feeling understood and empowered.

And while many know him as a respected advisor and leader, his favorite title might just be "Poppy." Nothing brings a bigger smile to his face than talking about his granddaughter, Leni, and his grandson who is due to be born in February 2027.

I used to think our job was financial planning.

At Lagerborg & Associates, I've learned it's actually about people.

When I first joined the firm, I thought the most valuable thing we could provide was expertise. Better strategies. Better solutions. Better answers.

Over time, I realized something.

The business owners and professionals we serve rarely walk through our doors worried about numbers alone.

They're thinking about their family.

Their employees.

Their legacy.

The business they've spent years, sometimes decades, building.

They're wondering if they're making the right decisions for the people who depend on them.

That's why our vision is Empowering Community.

Because we've learned that thriving isn't just about financial success. It's about helping people align their wealth with what matters most, creating opportunities for others, and building something meaningful that lasts.

That lesson has shaped everything we do, from the way we serve clients to the way we invest in our team, support initiatives like Project Guatemala, and build relationships with our referral partners.

The financial plan is important.

But the person behind the plan is what matters most.

That's a lesson I'll never stop learning.

As Executive Assistant to our CEO, Elsa is often the person behind the scenes helping everything run smoothly. But her true impact can't be captured in a title. She brings people together, anticipates needs before they're spoken, and has a remarkable ability to make others feel seen, valued, and supported.

Her leadership of Project Guatemala has helped it grow significantly while keeping people at the center of every decision. Combined with her nonprofit background and exceptional writing talents, Elsa has brought a unique perspective to our firm that has strengthened our culture and enhanced the experience we provide to clients.

The truth is, Elsa makes us better. Her positivity is contagious, her servant heart is genuine, and her commitment to people shows up in everything she does.
