Story Time:
Recently, I was talking to a family of 4 from Texas who needed other options for health insurance outside of the husband's employer coverage. The husband would be paying around $50 for his coverage every month, but adding his wife and kids to the policy would add another $1850 a month. That is expensive for a young, healthy family that barely uses their coverage.
We started looking at the market and quickly decided on getting a plan through the private market. The plan we found would save them $900 a month if they were approved, which they were. This includes dental, vision, and supplemental, making it a more comprehensive plan than they were offered with the husband's employer.
Stories like these give me so much joy. Saving money isn’t always possible, but it can happen.
