Small Towns We Love: Telluride, Colorado
Tucked into a box canyon at 8,750 feet and ringed by the San Juan Mountains on three sides, Telluride earned its "Little Switzerland of America" nickname for good reason. The historic Colorado Avenue main street is lined with Victorian storefronts and locally owned businesses that make it worth the drive.
Make a day of it and shop local:
Brown Dog Pizza — a Colorado Avenue pizza pub and longtime local staple
Smuggler's Union Brewery — downtown brewpub with beers brewed on-site
Between the Covers Bookstore & Bruno Cafe — Telluride's independent bookstore since 1974
Take the scenic drive and support small businesses.
