Small estate planning and probate law firm seeking a part time administrative and personal assistant who is versatile, ambitious and enjoys challenges. The position starts with 10 - 15 hours/ 2 - 4 days a week, in office required for training and can go partially remote after that. We are located near Broadway and Santa Fe in Denver, 2 miles west of University of Denver. Room to grow and expand hours after training and familiarity with office processes. Pay: $18/hour to start, may be more DOE. Increases after training,
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:
- Setup, Maintain and Close Client Files
- Review and Scan Signed Documents
- Drafting Legal Documents, Colorado Court forms and Letters to the Clients
- Printing Documents for Client Signings
- Strong computer skills; expertise in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel desired
- Possibly helping with marketing and website updates
- Run errands for the firm and attorney - requires a vehicle
IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work in office 2 - 4 days a week Tuesday - Friday, with availability sometime between 10 am and 5 pm
- Excellent communication and proof-reading skills
- Friendly and professional demeanor and ability to keep client confidences
- Desire to learn and acquire new skills
- Extremely detailed oriented and organized (very important)
- Live in close proximity to the firm (no more than 20 minutes away - we are 2 miles west of Denver University)
- Fully vaccinated, conscious about minimizing virus exposure risk due to work the elderly
ABOUT THE FIRM and ATTORNEYS:
We currently have 2 attorneys and a paralegal. Kristin who opened the firm in 2013 after 10 years in practice, is originally from New York and has both her law degree and tax masters. Sarah who joined the firm early last year after five years of practice, has worked extensively with charitable organizations and is active in the LGBTQ+ community. Katie began as an administrative assistant and has moved into the role of paralegal. This add is to replace her previous position. We focus on estate planning, tax implications related to estates and small business, and trust and probate administration. We are enthusiastic advocates, serving our clients with compassion and respect.
