We were delighted to participate in ETF Stream’s ‘ETF Ecosystem Unwrapped’ event in London this week.

Denis Struc, Portfolio Manager in our Secured Credit Team, presented on Collateralised Loan Obligations (CLOs) in the active ETF space - how they work, their potential benefits and the active management strategies employed. While MJ Lytle, CEO of Janus Henderson Tabula, joined a fireside discussion with Serge Weyland, ALFI CEO on ‘ How Domiciles Attract Fund Managers Eyeing ETFs’.

The private wealth management environment is evolving rapidly. In Malaysia, and more broadly in Asia, private wealth managers must quickly adapt to ever changing demands or risk becoming obsolete.

Our Asia Head of Intermediary Sales, Alex Ng, addressed this and more at the recent Hubbis Malaysia Wealth Management Forum in Kuala Lumpur, during a panel discussion on the future of wealth management.

The day was focused on responsibility and how we approach the subject at Janus Henderson. After completing a month-long responsibility curriculum in the classroom led by Janus Henderson employees, this was an opportunity for the students to observe and understand how the concepts are implemented within an organization.

What a privilege it was to attend not just one but two events in partnership with the American Cancer Society (ACS) last weekend.

Over in Texas we took part in the Dallas Cattle Baron’s Ball, the largest single-night fundraiser in the nation for cancer research through ACS. We sponsored the DJ Booth and Carrie Underwood also took to the stage as the headline act. Michael Schweitzer, Head of North America Client Group, along with other colleagues joined clients for the memorable night.

Meanwhile, on the West Coast, Michelle Rosenberg, our Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel, along with Nick Cherney, Head of Innovation, joined colleagues and clients at ACS’s San Francisco Discovery Gala. Sharing his passion and excitement for our Partnership with ACS, Nick spoke about how we’re working together in the fight against cancer.

Both nights were fantastic and we’re excited to be part of this journey with ACS.

This year’s theme was ‘What does the return of the cost of capital mean for investors?’ and several of our investment experts took the mic to discuss topics such as the impact of artificial intelligence on the macroeconomy, managing fixed income in the new interest rate regime and considering the risks and opportunities of the environment we live in.
