Happy Veterans Day to all of the men and women who have served this amazing country of ours!! It is because of all of you and your families that we get to live in the best country on the planet!!

Our travels this week took us to Snow Canyon, UT, where Mike and I got to see this huge flag hanging in the canyon. We were both in awe at the site of this symbol that stands for our freedom and that each of our Veterans have fought for and continue to fight for every day.

Once I returned to our campsite, I pulled up the website built around this 400 pound, 11,800 square foot flag to learn more about the organization behind it. What I discovered is an amazing story of a group of individuals that came together for their community during a very difficult time and are now on a mission to inspire patriotism in others and make us all feel more connected.

We did not know about this event until we arrived, but feel very blessed that we had the opportunity to have this experience!!
