Labor Day isn't just a day off. It's a scar that healed into a holiday. 🇺🇸

Back in 1894, workers went on strike so hard that the federal government had to step in, and Congress created a national holiday just to cool things down. That's where our Monday off comes from. The eight hour day. The weekend. Minimum wage. The safety rules that keep people alive on the job site. None of it was handed to anyone. People fought for it, and some of them died for it.

Here's the part that doesn't get talked about enough though. Winning those rights on paper in 1894 doesn't mean the average person can actually afford to enforce them today.

Your boss shorts your last paycheck. You get hurt and they push back on your comp claim. You sign something you don't fully understand because a lawyer costs $400+ an hour and you're making $40,000 a year. The rights exist. Real access to them doesn't, not for most working people.

Make-A-Will Month is officially over tomorrow 📋 but here's the thing… you don't need a special month to get this done. You just need two weeks.

I'm working today (yes, on a Sunday 😅) because I keep meeting people who've been "meaning to do their Will" for literally years. It's not the cost or the hassle holding them back. It's just never being the day they start.

So let's make today that day. Here's the whole timeline, no surprises:

📅 Today: We chat for a few minutes and pick the right plan for you. I send over an Estate Planning Guide + Questionnaire right away.

📅 Tomorrow: You call your law firm, they assign you an attorney.

📅 Same day: Send them your completed questionnaire.

📅 Within 5-10 business days: Your attorney sends back a first draft.

📅 Then: Final version gets notarized. Done!

I get asked this a lot: "What's the catch? What's it actually cost to start?"

No catch. That's honestly the part people don't believe until they see the numbers themselves.

When I started this business back in 2007, I'd just spent months trying to relaunch a jazz label. Studio time, pressing costs, distribution, the whole thing eating money before it ever made a dime.
