Life doesn't always happen in the order we planned.

One thing I've learned is that lots of people wait for the "perfect time" before asking questions about homeownership. This quick video is for anyone who's ever felt like life needed to feel a little more settled first. ๐Ÿ’™

I'd love to hear your thoughts below. And if you'd rather talk one-on-one, give me a call: 563-349-2044

One thing I've learned from talking with homeowners is that sometimes the stress isn't the payment itself... It's keeping track of all of them.

Credit cards. Personal loans. Due dates. Interest rates. It can all start to feel like a lot.

That's one reason conversations about a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) come up from time to time. For some homeowners, it may be an option to simplify multiple payments into one and create a little more flexibility.

The most important part? Understanding whether it makes sense for your situation. There's no one-size-fits-all answer, which is why I always encourage people to explore their options before deciding.

If you've been wondering whether a HELOC could help simplify things, let's talk through your options and see what makes sense for your goals: Drop a comment below or visit bit.ly/4gSlGwf for more info!

Making time to connect is always time well spent. ๐Ÿ’™

I recently had lunch with Kalea Sheldon Realtor at Mel Foster Co. Licensed in IA, and it was a great reminder that some of the best conversations happen when we step away from our day-to-day schedules for a little while.

One of my favorite parts of what I do is getting to know the people who help make homeownership possible throughout our community.

I'm grateful for relationships like this and for the opportunity to learn from one another along the way. Those conversations, shared experiences, and connections make our local real estate community so strong.

"I didn't know that was an option."

Honestly, that's one of my favorite things to hear. Sometimes one conversation can completely change what you think is possible. In today's video, I'm sharing a resource that comes up more often than people realize and has helped many people explore homeownership sooner than they expected.

Take a look, and if you're wondering whether it could apply to your situation, drop a comment below or send me a message. I'd be happy to help you understand your options!

One thing I've learned from talking with homebuyers is that life rarely slows down long enough for a "perfect" time to make a big decision.

Between kids, schedules, work, and everything else going on, most people aren't sitting around with endless free time and a perfectly organized plan. And honestly? That's okay.

I've worked with people who were juggling busy careers, raising families, planning for the future, or simply trying to keep up with what life is sending their way.

The goal isn't perfection. It's understanding your options and deciding what makes sense for you when the time is right. Sometimes a little clarity can go a long way. If you have questions, let's start there. ๐Ÿ“ž 563-349-2044

Here are two homebuying terms that get mixed up all the time: pre-qualified and pre-approved.

๐Ÿก Pre-qualification gives you an early snapshot of what you might be able to afford.
โœ… Pre-approval takes a closer look at your finances and can help show sellers you are prepared to make an offer.

You do not need to memorize the mortgage language. That is what I am here to help you walk through. We can look at where you are today, what you are hoping to do, and which step makes sense for you.

Iโ€™ll share a helpful resource in the comments if you would like to learn more. But if talking it through sounds easier, give me a call at 563-349-2044!

Sports parents, this one's for you...

How many times have you said, "Make sure you're ready!" before a game or practice? I know I say it all the time. ๐Ÿ˜…

But being ready isn't just about game day. It's all the practices, lessons, and hard work that happen long before the first pitch.

Honestly, buying a home is a lot like that. Most people don't come in feeling completely ready. They come in with questions. And that's where I come in. ๐Ÿ’™

We talk through things like credit, finances, and your options, but more importantly, we figure out where you are today and what your next step could be. Because "ready" isn't about being perfect. It's about understanding what's possible.

If you've been wondering where you stand, I'd be happy to help you explore your options and build a game plan that works for you: bit.ly/4gSlGwf

Parents, I have a question for you... What's something you remember saving up for as a kid? A bike? A video game system? A car? Something else?

I still remember how exciting it felt to finally reach a savings goal I'd been working toward. Looking back, it wasn't really about what I bought... it was more about learning patience, responsibility, and that small steps in saving can add up over time.

That's one reason I love IHMVCU's Balance Builder Junior Savers accounts for my kids. It's a simple way to start building healthy money habits while working toward goals that matter to them.

Just like so many things in life, good financial habits don't happen overnight. They start one small step at a time. ๐Ÿ’™ Learn more about the Balance Builder Junior Savers account here: bit.ly/4pnkP8O
