🇺🇸 We Will Never Forget 🇺🇸
24 years ago, I still remember exactly where I was when I first heard the news. Driving to teach swimming lessons, the local rock station reported it… and I thought it had to be a joke. When I arrived at work, every TV was on. Lessons were canceled. College classes were canceled. We were glued to the screen, watching in disbelief.
It was devastating. Horrendous. Evil. A day filled with so many emotions and memories that still live with me. Just like my parents shared where they were when JFK was assassinated, I now share with my children where I was on 9/11.
Before that day, my world was mostly basketball. After that day, my world... our world... changed forever.
To the families who lost loved ones, to the first responders, to the men and women who served and sacrificed in the years that followed… we remember you. We honor you.
We will never forget. 🙏🇺🇸
