Our insurance products include STAR Medicaid, STAR Kids, CHIP and CHIP Perinatal. nsurance as a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) in 1998. Driscoll Health Plan is affiliated with Driscoll Children’s Hospital which has been taking care of kids and their families in South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley for more than 60 years. We offer health care services at Driscoll Children’s specialty centers and clinics in McAllen, Harlingen, Brownsville, Laredo, Rio Grande City, Eagle Pass, Edinburg, Victoria and Weslaco. As of February 2017*, Texas had the most children without insurance in the United States – 3.4 million children did not have health care coverage. Simple annual checkups can easily prevent children and adults from getting more serious medical conditions and higher expenses down the road. Now, more than ever, Driscoll Health Plan is helping to grow healthier South Texans by providing new, affordable, quality health insurance options for you and your entire family.

Our company’s toiletry drive was a great success! Employees came together to donate essential personal care items to support a local nonprofit and individuals in need at the Ronald McDonald House. The generous contributions helped provide much-needed toiletries while demonstrating Driscoll's commitment to giving back and making a positive impact in our community. 💛

Back-to-School 2026 was one for the books! 📚
This year, Driscoll Health Plan hosted 34 events and connected with more than 28,000 families across our communities. Together, we provided health services and resources, including sports physicals, immunizations, health screenings, and application assistance. We also provided families with food bags, hygiene products, shoes, and haircuts. Students received school supplies and backpacks to help them start the year ready to learn. We are so grateful to our community partners, volunteers, and every family who joined us. Thank you for helping make this Back-to-School season one to remember! 💛
