I didn't fully understand dementia care until Tami explained this.

People living with dementia? They *know* something's off. Deep down, they feel it. And that fear is real.

Tami shared something that completely shifted my perspective: sometimes the most compassionate thing we can do isn't to correct their reality, it's to step into it with them.

Because here's the truth, constantly being "corrected" can do more harm than good. What they need most is to feel safe.

This conversation opened my eyes in ways I didn't expect. 💙

Let's keep this conversation going. Have you navigated dementia care with a loved one? What did you learn?

You got pre-approved! 🎉 Now... don't mess it up.

(I say this with love, I promise.)

Here's the thing: Getting pre-approved isn't the finish line. It's more like... halftime. And what you do between pre-approval and closing can make or break your deal.

So here's what NOT to do:

1.) Don't open new credit cards (even if that store discount is tempting)
2.) Don't finance a new car, furniture, or anything big
3.) Don't make major purchases without talking to me first

Why? Because lenders check your credit again right before closing. Any new debt can change your approval status.

The secret? Communication. If you're thinking about making a move, just ask me first. I'd rather give you the green light than watch your deal fall apart at the finish line.

You've worked too hard to get here. Let's protect it.

Questions? DM me CHAT and let's talk it through. No pressure. Just clarity.

POV: You kidnap a mortgage lender who has her own podcast…

And she is absolutely not sitting in silence.

Reverse mortgages.
$1,200 refunds.
20% down while renting (wild, right?).
Buyer consult at 4:30.

Spoiler alert:
I made the consultation.

But hey… they got free mortgage education,
so maybe it was a win? 😌

Chatty? Yes.
Passionate about helping people win at home ownership? Also yes.

Okay… I’ll admit it.

I was surprised. 🙋🏼♀️

I genuinely did not realize that different cannabis strains do completely different things.

I thought it was just… cannabis. Period.
But learning that certain strains can target inflammation, others help with sleep, some with nausea, some with anxiety, that changed the conversation for me.

This isn’t “your auntie’s marijuana.”
This is science-based.
It’s customizable.
And it’s about understanding your body, not copying what worked for your neighbor.

That was my biggest takeaway from sitting down with Mariah at Mary Alice. Education first. Ask questions. Don’t guess.

If you’ve ever been curious but didn’t want to say it out loud… this episode is for you.

“Should I wait to buy?”

It’s the question of the week.
At the grocery store. On my way to lunch. In my DMs.

And the honest answer?
👉 It depends.

Are you renting right now?
How much is that costing you every year?
Is your family growing?
Are you planning to stay in this community long-term?
Or are you thinking about moving out of state?

Buying a home isn’t about timing the market perfectly.
It’s about timing your life.

Every family’s situation is different, your job, your kids’ schools, your long-term plans, your comfort level.

That’s why there isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer.

If you’ve been wondering what makes sense for your situation, let’s talk it through. No pressure. Just clarity.

What if the conversation around cannabis was more about science than stigma?

This week, we sat down with Mariah from Mary Alice here in Corona to talk about something a lot of people are curious about, but don’t always feel comfortable asking about.

Pain relief.
Sleep support.
Stress.
Wellness options that are becoming more mainstream.

No hype. No pressure. Just education and open conversation.

Our full podcast episode goes live Tuesday, February 24th 🎙️

If you’ve ever wondered how cannabis fits into overall wellness, or if you’ve had questions but didn’t know who to ask, you’ll want to tune in.

Make sure you’re subscribed to Life, Money & Community so you don’t miss it.

This conversation stayed with me long after we stopped recording.

In our very first episode of Life, Money & Community, I sat down with Diana Camba to talk about something most of us experience, but rarely talk about: invisible grief.

The losses that don’t come with casseroles or sympathy cards.
Retirement. Identity shifts. Empty nesting. Divorce. Childhood experiences we were told to “move on” from.

Just because a loss isn’t visible doesn’t mean it doesn’t shape us.
And just because a season is supposed to feel “happy” doesn’t mean grief isn’t allowed to exist alongside it.

If you’ve ever felt off, stuck, or unsure why a life transition hit harder than expected, this episode is for you.

If you’ve been listening to Retirement Reimagined, this felt like the natural next step.

The conversations grew. Because retirement isn’t a single moment, it’s part of a much bigger life story.

That’s how Life, Money & Community came to be. Same heart. Broader conversation.

We’re still talking about planning and preparation, but now we’re also making space for real life. The transitions, the family dynamics, the questions we don’t always talk about (but should).

Most importantly, this podcast is built for the community. And if you have a story, a skill, or knowledge that helps people live better or plan smarter, I’d love to hear from you.

Let’s keep the conversation going. 🤍

The headlines love to make interest rates sound dramatic.
And honestly? That’s okay...because it gets people asking questions.

Yes, rates dipped.
Yes, they’ve come down from last year.
No, 30-year fixed loans are not in the 4s.

Rates are volatile, they move daily, and every situation is different.
Refinance? Don’t refinance? High-interest credit cards?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer.

Raise your hand. Ask the question.
Let’s talk through your scenario.

If you have a 401(k), this is your reminder:
No one is managing it for you unless you ask.

Your age, your retirement plans, your comfort level with risk—all of that matters.
A quick call with your 401(k) provider can help align your investments with your life.

Don’t put this off.
Future you will be glad you didn’t.

01/23/2026

This is the concern I hear the MOST from adult children.

“Will a reverse mortgage take away our inheritance?”

The answer is no — but it does need to be part of the plan.
These conversations work best when families talk about them early, openly, and with the right guidance.

Reverse mortgages aren’t about taking something away — they’re about creating options, stability, and peace of mind now while still planning for the future.

Realtors — your clients trust you to help them navigate big decisions.
Understanding how this works allows you to guide them with clarity and confidence.

Save this. Share it with a sibling or colleague. Education changes everything.
