📣 A little announcement from Baby Grace! ❤️

Our office will be closed Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. We will reopen and be ready to serve you on Tuesday, September 8th.

We’ll be enjoying a little time away from the office to spend with our families, and we hope you’re able to slow down, relax, and enjoy some time with yours as well.

Labor Day is a time to recognize the hard work of people throughout our communities, so however you spend the day, we hope it’s a good one!

🔥 Firefighters’ Home Safety Tips: Dryer Fires

Your dryer may not seem like a major fire risk, but the combination of heat, lint, restricted airflow, and combustible materials can create the perfect conditions for a fire.

Here’s why these simple habits matter:

🧺 Clean the lint trap after every load.
Lint is highly combustible. When it builds up, it can restrict airflow and allow excessive heat to accumulate inside the dryer.

🧹 Clean behind and around your dryer.
Lint and dust don’t just collect in the lint trap. They can accumulate underneath and behind the appliance, putting flammable material close to a heat source.

🔍 Inspect and clean your dryer vent yearly.
A clogged or restricted vent makes it harder for hot air to escape. Your dryer can run hotter and longer, increasing the risk of overheating.

⚠️ Replace plastic or foil-style venting with appropriate metal ducting.
Flexible plastic and some foil ducts can trap lint more easily and may not withstand high heat as well as proper metal dryer ducting.

🌙 Don’t run the dryer while you’re sleeping or away from home.
If something overheats or catches fire, being awake and home gives you a much better chance of noticing the warning signs and getting everyone to safety quickly.

A few minutes of prevention can make a big difference. And while we hope you never experience a house fire, making sure your homeowners insurance is properly protecting your home matters too.

Life doesn't always come with a clear roadmap, but God has given us something even better: His Word. Scripture doesn't always reveal every step ahead, but it faithfully gives us the light we need for the next one. As we spend time with Him, His truth guides our decisions, strengthens our faith, and reminds us that we never walk alone. Trust Him with today's step, and He will continue to light tomorrow's path.

What is one area of your life where you need God's Word to guide your next step?

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Word. When I feel uncertain or overwhelmed, remind me that You are faithful to guide me one step at a time. Help me to trust Your direction, walk in obedience, and keep my eyes fixed on You. May Your truth be the light that leads my path each day. In Jesus' name, Amen.
