Although the storms have pushed out of our area currently and the sun is shining, please remain vigilant in areas downstream from Lake Conroe. The river has not crested, and we are expecting another 10-12 feet of water rise before the river peaks. Continue to take actions necessary for the safety of yourselves, families and pets.

URGENT MESSAGE:::

SJRA Dam Operators are increasing lake release to 13,485 CFS. We are told by SJRA that current modeling for required storm water release will be significantly higher than this number throughout the day.

If you live along the West Fork of the San Jacinto River you are urged to take immediate precautions and expect significate rise in river levels.

As soon as we have more details we will update.
