8 years ago, we came together with a simple idea: Build Wealth Together‼️

Since then, we’ve spent countless Saturday mornings meeting, learning the stock market, investing together, and building our portfolio one decision at a time.

But The Cashlennials has always been bigger than stocks.

We’ve celebrated wins, navigated losses, supported career moves, watched families grow, and showed up for each other through different seasons of life.

That’s the power of collective wealth building. You don’t have to do it alone.

8 years later, we’re still learning, still investing, and still building together.

Ever hear someone say a company is “large cap” or “small cap?” 📊

They’re talking about market capitalization or market cap.

Market cap gives you an idea of how large a publicly traded company is based on the value of its shares.

Understanding company size can also help you think about the different levels of growth and risk you may be taking on.

Getting paid just for owning a stock? Let’s talk about dividends.

Some companies return part of their profits to shareholders through dividend payments. Others choose to reinvest those profits back into the business.

Neither automatically makes a company a good or bad investment, but it’s something worth understanding when researching a stock.

Welcome to Wealth Word Wednesday‼️

We’re breaking down investing terms to help everyday investors learn the language of the market.

First up: Earnings Per Share (EPS)

EPS shows how much profit a company earns for each share of its stock.

Formula:
(Net Income − Preferred Dividends) ÷ Shares Outstanding = EPS

Example:
$10M profit ÷ 5M shares = $2 EPS
That means the company earned $2 for every share of stock.

So, what’s a good EPS? 🤔
There’s no magic number. Instead, look for a positive EPS that’s growing over time and compare it to similar companies.

EPS is one piece of the puzzle when evaluating a stock.
