👨‍👧‍👦 Male Kinship Caregiver Focus Group

We are excited to share that caregivers are already signing up for our Male Kinship Caregiver Focus Group! 🍂

This is a wonderful opportunity for male kinship caregivers to connect with others who understand their journey, share experiences, and help shape future supports for fathers, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, and other men raising relative children.

We are so excited to share about an upcoming Breast Cancer Awareness Month event happening at Abdala Park on October 3rd from 11 AM-2 PM. This event is aimed to spread awareness, help community members get connected with preventive care and information, a wall of remembrance, and a survivors walk. We will also have fun activities including pumpkin decorating, beauty station, and wellness games. As breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women in the US and approximately 2,670 men each year, we know this is something that unfortunately impacts everyone.

If you or someone you know is interested in participating in our survivors walk, please reach out to Moira Gassenmeyer at [email protected] with their name.
