The UCC Church Building & Loan Fund team was honored to participate in The Gathering: Many Gifts, One Spirit, March 24 – 26, 2026, presented by CHHSM.

We shared our mission, program, and services for helping faith leaders think beyond their church to create lasting, meaningful impact in their communities. And, we found inspiration in the words and ideas of our colleagues from five faith traditions!

👏 Congratulations to the Nollau Leadership Institute graduates. We’re feeling blessed to have witnessed this impressive body of work through capstone project presentations at The Gathering, CHHSM 2026!

About Nollau Leadership Institute Capstone Projects:
The culmination of the Nollau Leadership Institute is the capstone project. Throughout the year, the cohort is invited to reflect on what leadership means to them and why.

Participants are then asked to provide an expression of leadership that mostly deeply resonates with them. It may come in the form of a photograph, a piece of art, a poem, a scripture passage, a quote, a sculpture, song lyrics, etc. Each year, the projects are as diverse and wise as those in the cohort.

At the CHHSM Annual Gathering, the cohort stands next to their capstone posters to engage with folks at the conference about their project and what conference attendees believe leadership to be.

The purpose of the capstone is to offer a unique way for the participants to articulate what they have learned and reflected on throughout the program. It also uplifts the distinct wisdom they have to offer the wider community in understanding and embodying leadership.

United Church of Christ Church Building & Loan Fund (CB&LF) is proud to be part of The Gathering: Many Gifts, One Spirit, March 24 – 26, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency in Indianapolis.

This conference of faith-based human services is presented by CHHSM (The Council for Health & Human Services Ministries, United Church of Christ)

The Gathering will bring together leaders from five faith traditions: Mennonite, Methodist, Presbyterian, Quaker, and United Church of Christ. CB&LF helps Christian congregations and organizations, regardless of sect or denominational affiliation, so we feel especially blessed to have this opportunity to collaborate.
