If you’re ever in Los Angeles, I highly recommend checking out Idaho. It’s about 900 miles northeast.

Okay, maybe it’s not exactly a quick weekend trip… but if you’re looking for wide-open spaces, mountain views, outdoor adventures, and a slower pace of life, Idaho is worth putting on your list.

And once you get here, you might just understand why so many people don’t want to leave.

The Idaho road trip I’d take if I wanted to see the best of the state.

Pocatello → Bear Lake → City of Rocks → Shoshone Falls → Thousand Springs → Bruneau Dunes → Redfish Lake → Craters of the Moon.

Beautiful views, hidden gems, crystal-clear lakes, waterfalls, hiking, and some of the most unique scenery in Idaho.
