🏖 What to do when you're feeling the Summer Slump! 🏖
Did you know that "J" months are known to be slow months?
Many families are recovering from the school year and looking forward to some much needed rest and relaxation. Diving into the Summer Season with vacations, pool parties and BBQ's, exploring the outdoors, and trying to hold onto their sanity with the kids home. Sound familiar?
As a business owner, let's take a look at what you can do ⤵️
3️⃣ TIPS ON WAYS TO BEAT THE SLUMP 3️⃣
🤯 Adjust your mindset 🤯
Try to embrace the "Growth Mindset"
Here's a really cool acronym to help remember what that might look like...
"M" istakes - are how I learn
"I" mprovement - do a little better each day
"N" ever - stop learning
"D" eterminiation - will get me through anything
"S" uccess - doesn't happen by accident
"E" ffort - is how I overcome challenges
"T" hings - are difficult before they are easy
🥅 SET GOALS 🥅
Reach for the stars!
WRITE your goals down! Put them on post-it notes and place them where you'll see them everyday.
CREATE a vision board! Place it on your dresser, where you'll see it everyday. You'll be amazed when you look back to see all you've accomplished.
When writing your goals, remembering the following will help - another acronym coming atcha!
"S" pecific - set real numbers, determine the who / what / where / when / why
"M" easurable - make sure your goal is trackable, what are the key indicators that help you decide if and when you've reached your goal
"A" ttainable - work towards a goal that is challenging but possible
"R" elevant - align your goals with your overall objective of your business
"T" imely - give yourself a deadline
🔎TAKE A HARD LOOK AT YOUR FINANCES🔎
(Sorry) No acronyms for this one.
It's time to sit down and dive deep into your finances. If you have a budget, it may be time to revisit and pivot to align with where you are currently. Are there subscriptions or memberships that are going unused? Have you called to see if there were ways to decrease your services and/or pricing plans from your current providers? If you don't have a budget, I highly suggest you set one. Do you know what you have coming in? Do you know what your expenses are? It's hard to start if you don't have the full picture.
Some common financial challenges include:
*Cash flow issues
*No prepared budget
*Unforeseen expenses
*Too much debt
*Poor tax compliance
*Mixing personal and business finances
*Reporting oversights
There's plenty more to be said, but this is a good start. If you find yourself struggling with any of the above, know that you are not alone. If you, or anybody you know, may need some assistance, please allow me to be of service! Reach out today, I'd be happy to help!
