Ever catch yourself saying, "One day, we should do that"?

Maybe it's a safari in South Africa, a trip to Europe, an Alaskan cruise, or finally taking that family vacation you've talked about for years.

I'm in the middle of an incredible adventure in South Africa, and seeing a family of lions in the wild and getting up close with an elephant makes the years of planning and saving feel worth it.

If it's a dream trip with your spouse, a family getaway, a trip with friends, or a milestone worth celebrating, those experiences often become reality when they're made a priority.

Raising daughters is equal parts rewarding, humbling, and occasionally expensive.

They grow up faster than you expect, develop personalities all their own, and somehow manage to teach us a few things along the way.

With one daughter in college and the other five years away, I’m reminded how quickly these years move. A lot changes, but one thing stays the same: wanting the best for them and hoping they know just how much they mean to us.

Here’s to the daughters who make being a parent one of life’s greatest adventures.

Someone pinch me! Penguins on the beach!

Our visit to Boulders Beach in Cape Town is one I will never forget. Watching African penguins waddle around, swim, and go about their day in their natural habitat was pretty amazing.

Definitely one for the memory books.
