Courtney and her team were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and responsive from beginning to end.

One of the things we appreciated most was how convenient the process was. Most of our interaction involved submitting documents and signing paperwork digitally, which made everything very easy and saved us a lot of time. Berkshire is also able to handle all aspects of the transaction in-house, although we ultimately chose to use a different title company for our closing.

Courtney and her team did a great job keeping us updated throughout the entire process. Even after closing, Berkshire continued to communicate with us about what to expect with our first mortgage payment, including helpful tutorial videos. That follow-up was a nice touch and showed that they genuinely cared about the customer experience beyond just getting the loan closed.

One recommendation I would offer to future borrowers is to make sure you understand exactly when your interest rate is being locked and whether you are paying points to buy down the rate. On a sizeable loan, even a small difference can make a significant financial impact, so it’s important to know upfront what you are agreeing to. I would also recommend making sure you know where everything stands at least three days before closing. If an issue comes up at that point, it can often be resolved, but it may potentially delay the closing date.

Overall, we were very pleased with Courtney and Berkshire. They were professional, communicative, and made what can be a stressful process much easier. I would highly recommend Courtney Anderson and Berkshire to anyone looking for a mortgage lender.
