https://content.gorascal.com/licensing-disclosures/ I’m happily married to a wonderful lady.

In January 2013, a former business associate introduced me to the mortgage industry. Prior to that I spent many years working in financial services for some major investment banks. Since childhood, numbers have always fascinated me, which is what most attracted me to mortgages. They’re much like the game of chess, which I love. You must logically and proactively understand the current situation, t

hen plan ahead… anticipating future moves, to find best solutions. To achieve your goals, I start by listening to help you feel as comfortable and knowledgeable as possible throughout the entire process. By understanding what you need and desire, you’re helping me educate you, with your best options. I typically form close relationships with my clients, and I strive to make you a client for life. I grew up in Kew Gardens, Queens, N.Y., and attended NYU for my undergraduate degree in business. In the near future, I will run my own loan team, opening a branch in the Queens and or Long Island areas. Speaking of running, I’ve completed many triathlons, one of which was a 1/2 Ironman, in addition to completing 9 New York City Marathons (in 1997, finishing in the top 4%). In what I like to call “my past life,” I was a professional actor in several major TV shows. During my leisure time, I like to watch movies, do hot yoga, take hikes, and play tennis and pickleball. I’ve heard and learned over the years, the more fruitful and emotionally deep/connected your relationships are, the more fulfilling, healthy, satisfying and longer lives people seem to have. To me, success is when you’re financially, emotionally, and physically at peace with where you are. My intent is to deliver this kind of success for you, on your home financing journey. Bond market drama creates rate drama because rates are directly based on bonds. Due to the immense size and complexity of the bond market (and broader financial market), and because trading strategies can vary based on who's doing the trading, there is no satisfying way to measure exactly why things happen the way they do at quarter-end. What we do know is that a massive amount of money changes hands in a very short time window, with a lot of last-minute settlement taking place right up to the end-of-quarter cut-off. There's also quarter-end trading that begins impacting trading levels several weeks in advance, but it was the "last minute" stuff that hit the bond market this week. This resulted in Tuesday's rates jumping quickly higher for no apparent reason. Wednesday added a bit of an aftershock as mortgage lenders got caught up with Tuesday's volatility (some lenders don't fully account for all the volatility in a trading day if it happens late enough in the day).
