Today, Dutchess County Executive Sue Serino and Legislature Chairman Will Truitt announced the County will commit up to $1.5 million in funds to support local food pantries. The announcement follows the federal government shutdown threatening to freeze Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits for more than 11,000 households in Dutchess alone.
